Public
Sector Unit
Harnessing a wealth of expertise across Scotland, BIG’s Public Sector
Unit delivers integrated communication solutions to both existing and new
public sector organisations, and equally to private sector companies seeking
to engage with public bodies.
By acting as a central think tank, the Unit ensures all our public sector
account teams adopt best practice and delivery in PR and marketing campaigns.
It also gathers and distributes relevant intelligence for teams making them
aware of the latest trends, techniques and intelligence affecting the sector.
Using our in-depth knowledge of the public sector landscape, the Unit channels
our expertise into delivering innovative techniques and results-driven campaigns
that reach and influence target audiences, particularly those hard to reach.
BIG’s team, headed up by Kim Munro, includes account director Kathryn
McKee, who is already offering communications support on major transport
projects including the Forth Replacement Crossing and director Zoe Corsi,
who has masterminded PR campaigns for the public sector as well as major
planning applications such as the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and several
onshore wind farms.
BIG was recently re-appointed to the PR roster for the Scottish Government
and other leading public sector organisations for the next two years. The
consultancy is also on the Central Office of Information roster for PR.
In July 2009 BIG was ranked number 10 in the UK for Public Sector PR - the
only indigenous Scottish consultancy to be listed in the survey (PR Week,
July 15).
